SEMTECH® HI‑FLOW 3
SEMTECH® HI‑FLOW 3 is the latest addition to our Fugitive Methane family of products, developed for ATEX Zone 1 applications. It joins our SEMTECH® HI‑FLOW 2* to provide robust, portable, battery powered, high volume sampling for the most accurate quantification of fugitive methane emissions.
HI-FLOW 3 incorporates a suite of spectroscopy-based methane sensors combined with an integrated high-output sampling fan offering a maximum flowrate of 500 LPM and minimum leak dectection down to 0.025 LPM (1 g/hr). This is a significant increase in maximum leak rate detection compared to other available devices. Our suite of sensors includes a state of the art Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) device and is tuned specifically to methane, eliminating interferences from other gases present in up-, mid-, and downstream oil and gas operations.

The HI-FLOW 3 is controlled by a browser-based software package which provides automated sequences for data collection. The Graphical User Interface (GUI) is user configurable and continuous, with all data stored on-board the device.
SEMTECH® HI‑FLOW 3 has been designed to meet ATEX / IECEx requirements for typical Zone 1 methane environments.
ATEX / IECEx 2G T1 Gb IIA certification by a Notified Body is in process.
* SEMTECH® HI‑FLOW 2 has been demonstrated through 3rd parties to be best in class. To maintain that superior performance, we focused the HF2 design on HazLoc classification C1 D2 and we proudly continue to sell and support the HF2. To meet ATEX criteria, we opted to offer the HF3 as an alternative design for the EU market.
