CE-CERT Validates Real-World Ammonia Emissions Measurement

A study conducted by the College of Engineering – Center for Environmental Research and Technology (CE-CERT) at the University of California, Riverside, has shed light on the growing significance of ammonia (NH₃) emissions from light-duty vehicles. The research, “Real-World Study of Ammonia Emissions from Light- Duty Vehicles” (May 2025), provides important insights into how ammonia behaves under real-world driving conditions and how it contributes to overall air quality and vehicle aftertreatment performance.

In this groundbreaking work, researchers selected the SEMTECH^® NH₃ analyzer from Sensors, Inc. to perform their ammonia measurements.
