Field Support Technician
What you’ll do…

Basic position responsibilities:
- Emissions Testing: Perform routine emissions testing on equipment and machinery to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Field Travel: Travel regularly to various domestic (and occasionally international) customer locations to perform testing and support services. Extended hours in the field may be required.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Record emissions test results to validate system performance and identify trends.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the equipment adheres to environmental regulations related to emissions standards and reporting.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist in maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of emissions testing equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Technical Support: Identify and resolve minor technical issues in the field; escalate complex issues to senior technicians or engineering teams as needed.
- Training: Assist in training team members on emissions testing protocols and compliance standards.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records of emissions tests, results, maintenance logs, and any corrective actions taken.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, engineers, and quality assurance to address and resolve technical or compliance issues.
- Customer Interaction: Represent the company professionally while providing technical support and training to customers on emissions testing systems and best practices.
- Process Improvement: Contribute ideas to enhance testing procedures, operational efficiencies and cost-effective testing operation.
Skills/Qualifications you have
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree in mechanical engineering, environmental science, or a related technical field is a plus).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with mechanical or electrical systems.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the U.S. and occasionally internationally.
- Ability to work extended hours when traveling to support customer needs.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to following strict protocols and safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting ability.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and emissions testing procedures is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data entry and reporting.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Comfort working in industrial environments and handling testing equipment, including safe handling of hazardous materials such as high-pressure bottles and exhaust emissions.
